She is an Indian film actress, model and television actress, known for her work in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Punjabi films. Career
Yami Gautam decided to pursue a career in acting, while she was doing a bachelor’s degree in Law Honors. She went to Mumbai in search of acting opportunities. Yami made her first television appearance with NDTV Imagine’s Daily Soap ‘Chand Kara Ka Chalo’. She was also cast in Prince Aryan of NDTV Imagine.
Her film debut was in Kannada, titled ‘Ullaa Utsav’. However, unlike Ayushmann Khurana, she had a great success with the Bollywood film ‘Vicky Donor’. The film was commercially successful and positive critics earned money. Her first Telugu film in 2011 was ‘Nuvvila’. Apart from this, she also starred in ‘TamilSelvanam Thaniyar Anjlam’. She was cast in Hindi film ‘Total Siaappa’ opposite Ali Zafar in 2014. She appeared in the film ‘Action Jackson’ with Ajay Devgan. She played the role of Meisha Purohit, wife of Varun Dhawan, in the movie ‘Badlapur’. Yami starred alongside Pulkit Samrat in the musical romantic film ‘Am Sanam Re’ in 2016.
